Tottenham Hotspur's hopes of securing a top-four finish took a significant blow as they were defeated 2-0 by league leaders Manchester City.

As the match approached its conclusion, Tottenham were awarded a penalty after Rodri was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area. Harry Kane stepped up to take the spot-kick and coolly converted, sealing a crucial victory for the visitors.

The result leaves City two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, while Tottenham remain fifth, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
