The investment, which was announced today by Aragón's President Jorge Azcón, is expected to create thousands of jobs and boost the region's economy.

The investment will be used to build three new data centers in Aragón, as well as to expand the company's existing facilities in the region. AWS already has a major presence in Aragón, with two data centers in Zaragoza and one in Huesca.

"This investment is a testament to our commitment to Spain and to the region of Aragón," said Matt Garman, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, AWS. "We believe that this investment will help to accelerate the growth of the region's economy and create new opportunities for businesses and individuals alike."

The investment is part of AWS's larger plan to invest €100 billion ($108 billion) in Europe over the next 10 years. The company has already invested €12 billion ($13 billion) in Europe so far this year.
